Price of walk in shower — Los Angeles, CA

In Los Angeles, the cost to install a walk-in shower depends on several things. The size and complexity of the shower, plus any necessary plumbing or tile work, all play a role. If you're upgrading an existing bathroom, the labor involved in removing the old fixture and preparing the space matters. The types of materials you choose for the shower walls and flooring also affect the overall price. We can help you get a clear picture.

A walk-in shower remodel in Los Angeles typically starts with removing your old shower or tub. Then, the area is prepped for the new installation, which includes ensuring proper subflooring and waterproofing. New plumbing lines may be installed, and the walls and floor are prepared for tiling or other finishes. Finally, the walk-in shower unit or custom enclosure is installed. This process is handled by experienced professionals.

Underneath a walk-in shower in Los Angeles, you'll typically find a properly prepared subfloor that is waterproofed. This often involves a layer of cement board or a specialized waterproof membrane installed over the joists. A sloped mortar bed is then created to ensure proper drainage towards the drain assembly. This foundation is crucial for preventing water damage and ensuring the longevity of your shower. The crew ensures this is done correctly.

While 'cheap' walk-in showers might compromise on quality or features in Los Angeles, there are ways to manage costs.
